If it is bigger, it's better. That's what the smartphone manufacturers these days believe in. The size of the smartphones are increasing with each passing day and the lines between tablets and smartphones are blurring. Zync has just launched a budget phablet, the Z605 for Rs 7,999. Here are the specifications of the same:
- 6.5 inch WVGA screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 1.2 GHz dual core processor takes charge of the processing needs
- You get 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded further by another 32GB with the help of a microSD card
- 2MP "Pureview" rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and VGA front camera
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS will be there to keep you connected at all times
- There's a 2,500 mAh battery giving it the juice which has been rated to give a talk time of up to 6 hours on 2G and 2.5 hours on 3G
Our take: The phablet has its Pureview camera as its unique feature and coupled with a pretty big screen, it will fulfill your tablet needs as well. It looks a good buy on paper, but its real world performance is something that yet remains to be seen.
