Virgin Mobile, today said that it aims to acquire fifty lakh youth mobile users in the Indian market by 2011,the number of mobile users among the youth is likely to go up to 50 million in India.Virgin Mobile's Chief Executive Officer M A Madhusudan told reporters on the launch of its new music edition mobile handset. He said that the company would continue to cater to the youth segment in line with its stated objective of addressing that area of the mobile services in India.
Virgin Mobile unveiled a new music phone, called vJazz, which allows free unlimited download of music tracks for one year. Prized at
Rs 4,250, the handset has a 1.3 megapixel camera, 1,000 SMS,phonebook,storage space and bluetooth besides other features the phone comes with a 1 GB SSD card, allowing ample memory space to save or listen to music.
The company offers Virgin Mobile branded services and handsets to the Indian consumers by Tata Teleservices through a brand franchise with Virgin.
