Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd. (SSTL) that provides CDMA  services under brand MTS today won spectrum in the 800 MHz band in 8 circles and failed to get spectrum for Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa and Uttar Pradesh East circle. MTS India Gears up for Spectrum Auction Starting March 11th 2013, Asks Customers in 10 Circles to Port Out

MTS today confirms its intention to participate in the spectrum auctions starting 11th March 2013. It may be recalled, 21 of SSTL’s licenses were cancelled by the Honorable Supreme Court of India in an order dated 2nd February ‘2012.
