Qualcomm To Bid for Broadband Wireless Access Auction

World's leading wireless telecommunications research and development company, Qualcomm today announced that it has filed an application with the Indian Government to bid in India's upcoming auction for BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) spectrum in the 2.3 GHz band to facilitate the deployment of TD-LTE. Airtel Geared up to Upgrade 2G Network In 8 Telecom Circles

Bharti Airtel, India’s largest GSM mobile service provider geared up to expand and upgrade its 2.5G network in eight circles to increase the its present network capacity by 50%. The Airtel GSM network expansion contract is given to Global telecom equipment maker Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). The third generation (3G) mobile services auction now will be held in February after being pushed back from their original date of Januarry-2010.
