Oppo has unveiled yet another device in its R5 series of smartphones, named as Oppo R5s, which is an upgraded version of the Oppo R5. The R5 was launched last year in India at a price tag of Rs. 29,990 with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
Unlike the Oppo R5, the R5s comes with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. It is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery with VOOC Rapid Charge technology. The R5s features a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Oppo’s in-house Color OS 2.0 on top.
The Oppo R5s sports a 13-megapixel of camera on the rear with LED flash, Sony IMX214 sensor along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 83-degree wide angle lens. The smartphone measures 148.9 x 74.5 x 4.85 mm and weighs 155 grams. It will be available in Grey color and is expected to go on sale soon. The official site of Oppo R5s lists it at 199 Euros (Approx. Rs. 15,364), however the pricing could be tentative, keeping in mind that the Oppo R5 was priced at a much higher price of 399 Euros.
