MTNL Cuts Down ISD Tariff To Tsunami Hit Japan

In a bid to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities, India’s first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced massive reduction (approx 75% reduction from exiting tariff) in ISD Call rates to Tsunami Hit Japan.

At this moment of natural calamity, MTNL cuts down its ISD rates to Japan without any extra cost. The reduced tariff to call Japan will be Rs.1.25 per minute  to any Fixed line phone and Rs.4 per minute to call Mobile Phone network in Japan.




As of now the Reduced ISD Calls benefits will be available to all MTNL Landline and VCC (calling card) subscribers in Mumbai circle working effect from tomorrow i.e 20th March 2011. The offer will also extended to all MTNL GSM 2G/3G Mobile subscribers shortly. The reduced ISD tariff valid up to 3 months from tomorrow.

It is significant to say the MTNL is also offering cheapest International call rates without any extra packs i.e. Rs.1 per minute to any Mobile and Landline phones of 6 countries namely USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore from Landline and Postapid GSM (Dolphin) and Garuda (WLL/CDMA) subscribers (except PCO).
