LG’s first modular smartphone G5 listed on India website at Rs 54,000

South Korean handset maker LG has listed its first modular smartphone, G5, on its India website. The device is carrying a price tag of Rs 54,000. Additionally, LG has listed 360 VR, 360 CAM, and CAM Plus--priced at Rs 21990, Rs 21490, Rs 6500, respectively--on the India website.

The handset maker on Friday announced the pre-booking for G5. The flagship smartphone will be available for pre-booking at mobile stores, at LG brand shops and online exclusively at Flipkart.

"Customers can pre-book their LG G5 from May 21, 2016 to May 30, 2016," LG had said.

LG, in a statement, also said that all the customers who pre-book the LG G5 will get the companion device, LG Cam Plus absolutely free along with the smartphone. The G5 modular smartphone features 5.3 inch IPS Quantum QHD display, and comes equipped with dual rear cameras with wide angle lens.

The LG G5, which comes in metal uni-body, is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which offers 64-bit performance. The Snapdragon 820 processor also has an integrated X12 LTE modem that supports Category 12 download speeds of up to 600 Mbps and LTE Category 13 uplink speeds of up to 150 Mbps.

Available in Gold, Silver and Titan color variants, the device is powered by a 2800 mAh removable battery. The smartphone also features Qualcomm Adreno 530 graphics and lower-power Qualcomm Hexagon DSP as well as Qualcomm Spectra 14-bit dual image signal processors (ISPs) designed to deliver high resolution DSLR-quality images and additional power savings.
