TRAI to wait for SC order before implementing tariff orders for commercial subscribers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has decided to wait for the verdict of Supreme Court to make further amendments to its tariff orders for commercial subscribers issued on 1st October 2014 and 21st July 2010. India’s GSM subscriber base reaches 711.55 million in April, Airtel adds maximum subscribers: COAI

According to a data released by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), India’s GSM subscriber base has increased by 0.90 percent over March and reached 711.55 million in April. PM to inaugurate NOFN broadband under Digital India next month.

As per latest reports, National Optical Fibre Network(NOFN) under Digital India programme will be inaugurated by Prime Minister between 15-30 June. The NOFN project aims to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to 2.50 lakh gram panchayats in India by December 2016. ISPs cannot block Uber and Ola websites due to technical issues
