Indian telecom subscriber base reaches 970 Million in December 2014

The number of telecom subscribers in India has reached its all-time high touching 970.97 Million in the quarter ended December 2014 according to the latest report by Telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI). MTNL and BSNL say no to upcoming spectrum auction

State-run telecom operators MTNL and BSNL have declared that they will not be participating in the upcoming spectrum auctions. MTNL and BSNL have said they have sufficient spectrum to carry on their services without disruption at the moment and see no immediate requirement for the same.
