BSNL has introduced two new voice rate cutters of Rs. 19 and Rs. 8 on a pan-India basis. These rate cutters offer voice calls at discounted rates. BSNL informed that these plans will be effective from September 4, 2017.
The newly introduced Rs. 19 voice rate plan offers on-net voice calls at 15 paise/min and off-net voice calls at 35 paise/min. And the Rs. 8 voice calling plan offers the same benefits, but the validity of these plans differ. The Rs. 19 plan is valid for 90 days, while the Rs. 8 plan is valid for 30 days.
As said earlier, BSNL has launched these plans on a pan-India, meaning these are applicable in every circle where BSNL operates.
Having said that, both these plans are only for BSNL prepaid subscribers.
Besides this plan, BSNL will soon come out with a Rs. 429 plan, under which the operator is planning to offer 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls without any limitation for 90 days. This plan from BSNL will take on the tariff plans of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, who're offering the same 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls at just Rs. 399.
BSNL's plan will cost Rs. 429, and will be applicable on a pan-India basis. The operator is yet to officially announce this plan. We're expecting BSNL to announce the STV Rs. 429 plan in coming days.
