Bharti Airtel Buys 70% Stake In Warid Telecom To Invest $300 mn

Bharti Airtel Ltd, India’s largest telecom operator by subscriber numbers, has acquired a 70 per cent stake in Bangladesh’s Warid Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi’s Dhabi Group. Bharti Airtel has issued an advisory to its mobile and landline users on fraudulent calls purportedly being made on behalf of the company.
