Reliance Jio has confirmed the deployment of VoNR deployment for its 5G customers. VoNR or Voice Over New Radio is a calling technology. At this point, Reliance Jio is the only telecom operator that is offering 5G VoNR. Airtel's not yet deployed 5G SA (standalone), and is unlikely to offer it in 2025 to mobile customers. Thus, for quite some time, if you are looking for VoNR calling services, then Jio is the only telecom operator which will offer you that.

So why is VoNR Better than VoLTE?
VoLTE or Voice Over LTE is the calling technology associated with the 4G networks. VoNR is the technology associated with 5G. With VoNR, you get enhanced call experience with superior clarity and fidelity based on 5G's high data capacity compared to VoLTE that runs on 4G.
Since Vodafone Idea will also be looking to deploy 5G NSA (non-standalone) like Airtel, even Vodafone Idea wouldn't be able to offer VoNR to its customers. VoNR is already working for customers in Delhi and Mumbai. It might already be available in other areas of the country.
At present, Jio's 5G SA services are offered as a complimentary benefit to customers recharging with the 2GB daily data plans or more.
