BSNL Introduces Bulk SMS Service Allowing Users to Send Multiple SMS at One Go at Affordable Rates

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has introduced new Bulk SMS plans which provide an easy and user-friendly way for sending bulk and as well individual messages at affordable rates. The BSNL service provides facility to send both transactional and promotional SMSes. Transactional SMS can be sent by customers through the web portal or API while promotional SMS can be sent on behalf of the customer by CSR.

The main features of the BSNL Bulk SMS include Individual SMS, Bulk Messaging, Instant Messaging, Flexible Messaging, Flexible SMS Schedule and Automatic Schedule. However, automatic schedule option is available only for the API not for the web portal. Users can also view transaction history of their previous bulk SMS plans.

BSNL’s service also comes without any setup charges or license costs. There’s also no sender ID cost associated with service. The service also doesn’t come with regular monthly bills and instead users can opt for plans based on SMSes.

Procedure for sending Bulk SMS

BSNL Bulk Service can be purchased from the BSNL Customer Service Center as per the required plan. The telecom operator will then provide you with a username, password and a sender name will be alloted to the user. The user can then log on to the company website and start using it the BSNL Bulk service.

The user can then upload the SMS file in excel format and schedule the texts as per convenience. SMSes will be sent as long as there’s sufficient balance in the user’s account. The customers can directly send messages from either the software application using W3C standard web services published BSNL’s SMS Gateway.

The Bulk SMS services in India help businesses to communicate with customers by SMS marketing. The company’s Bulk SMS service will be used mainly by media companies, enterprises, banks and consumer brands for a variety of purposes including entertainment, enterprise and mobile marketing and fraud control.
