DOT panel to follow Febuary 2014 model for upcoming auction

Department of Telecommunications (DOT) panel has decided to follow same method used in last February auction for determining the base price of the spectrum for next round of auction. Telecom Commission to meet on November 7th to discuss on next spectrum auction

Telecom Commission will meet on November 7th to discuss the upcoming spectrum auction. The commission will also discuss on National Optical Fibre Network project and indoor wireless telephony. Operators request to postpone the next spectrum auction

Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and Reliance have sent a joint letter to the Telecommunication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to postpone the next spectrum auction till sufficient spectrum across bands are available for sale.
