Telecom firms served notice for under-reporting revenues to the order of Rs.10,826 crores

Government has served a show cause notice to various telecom firms for allegedly under-reporting revenues of over Rs.10,800 crore till November 2012. Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) has about 11 million customers by end of November, of these 36% are in Mumbai

Indian operator, Tata Teleservices has over 10.92 million subscribers at the end of November. Of these, around 4.12 million were in Mumbai alone. BSNL makes profit in Kerala, J&K and Odisha

IT and Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad informed the Rajya Sabha that BSNL has made profit in only three territorial circles of Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir and Odisha in 2013-14. New Delhi Railway Station starts free wi-fi service

After Bangalore, New Delhi becomes the second city to provide free wi-fi at its railway station, starting today. TRAI recommends Rs. 3,104 crore reserve price for 800 MHz band

India’s telecom regulator, Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended a reserve price of Rs.3,104 crore per megahertz for CDMA or 800 MHz band, which is 15 percent higher than the rate it had proposed in February.
