Indian Telecom Market Structurally Very Good: ATC

The Indian telecom market is "looking structurally very good,” Rod Smith, executive vice president and chief financial officer of American Tower Corporation (ATC) said in the NAREIT REITworld 2020 annual virtual conference. Sharing of active telecom infrastructure gets DoT nod

After giving a nod to allow sharing of spectrum among telecom operators, the India government has now allowed sharing of active telecom infrastructure like antenna, feeder cable and transmission systems. The move is aimed at lowering costs for telecom operators, and will also lead to faster rollout of networks in the country.
