Supreme Court Denies the Plea for Free Calls, Data and DTH Facilities

A plea was made to the Supreme Court earlier this month which requested telecom service providers to give free calls and data to the customers. Telecom Operators Cannot Self-Asses Their AGR Dues: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court addressed the AGR issues and slammed the telcos along with DoT. As per the Supreme Bench, telcos should not have been permitted the self-assessment of their AGR dues. Supreme Court Rejects Proposal of Vodafone Idea to Pay Part of AGR Dues, Company on the brink of Collapse

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected Vodafone Idea’s proposal to pay part of their adjusted gross revenue dues and direct government not to take any coercive action against it.
