Kerala Government Aims to Provide Affordable Broadband With New Fibre Optic Network Service

Kerala Government finally announced Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) in the state. As the name itself suggests, KFON is the government's initiative to provide high-speed and affordable internet to every household in Kerala. As part of this project, more than 30,000 government institutions will be enabled with high-speed internet. Kerala to be the first state in India with broadband connectivity to all villages

Kerala is aiming for March 2015 to complete National Optical Fibre Network and to be the first state in the country to have broadband connectivity to all villages. National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) is a project by Indian government to provide broadband connectivity 2.5 lakh village and panchayats in India.
