iPhone 3GS advantages over iPhone 3G:
•A faster 600MHz CPU and double the RAM at 256MB
    •Noticeably faster performance
•Faster network speeds of HSDPA 7.2Mbps
•3.2 megapixel auto focus camera with VGA@30fps video recording, touch focus with subject tracking, macro mode from as close as 10 cm
•Double the storage space – 3GS is selling in 16GB and 32GB versions
•Digital compass with automatic map orientation in Maps app
•Better audio quality (as recorded and analyzed in our office)
•Louder loudspeaker results (with performance gains primarily in music playback)
    •Purportedly better battery life
•Oleophobic display coating supposed to make fingerprints easier to clean
•Voice Control, speaker independent. Can be use to call a phone number, play music by song/album/artist name, shuffle music
•Built-in support for Nike+ jogging system
    •TV-out outputs 480p instead 480i resolution
•Text-to-speech feature called VoiceOver is included in the new Accessibility menu
•System-wide Screen Zoom is also included in the Accessibility menu
Main disadvantages of iPhone 3GS (OS disadvantages not counted here):
•The new iPhone 3GS lacks the same novelty factor as its predecessors – the lack of design changes is a turn-down
•3 megapixel camera with limited feature set hardly cuts it for a high-end device
•There’s still no flash or hardware shutter key for the camera
•Despite the upgrade, battery life is still generally poor (2-year old iPhone 2G are still doing way better)
    •No videocalls functionality
    •No FM radio
•No stereo speakers (or are we pushing it too far already?)

Although this 3gs is outdated but Iphone is the ultimate smartphone., even andoroid only comes after ios. The touch screen of Android comes nowhere to touch feel in iphone. HTC android phones a lot lot better then samsung android phones. If we purchase some Samusung Galaxy S by paying 25k bucks samsung itself will outdate it within 6 months by introduction a new model. & Nokia’s symbian is an double outdated OS (even Nokia decided to use Windows 7).

Apple can only bully foolish Americans who are excited even by dog shit, they can’t understand that Apple wants to create dictatorship in mobile market as it’s device restrict our basic freedom to use and operate the phone as we like.eg no file transfer via bluetooth, operator locked phones, highly over priced, least external hardware support.

Apple products are over hyped in the market. Their specifications, features, quality, OS and performance is not as high as their price is. It is beyond to understand that as to why a customer should pay almost 20000 bucks for iPhone 3G S especially when iPhone 5 is launched. Further, Samsung’s Galaxy S-II comes in the same price range and gives tough competition to iPhone 4. In my opinion this is not a good deal and an attempt to liquidate the remaining stock of an obsoleted iPhone model.

    ha ha ha.

Let’s Apple to decide launching phones after 1 or 2 years later for all iFans who can’t even bother to buy a costly apple(fruit).
    What an irony.

Apple not to forget that it’s India and here even homeground Nokia and Samsung are not able to understand where is market is going and you are trying to add some more crap in the portfolio. Lets comsumers will decide whats best value for their money.

At the same price one can get a HTC 1GHZ phone with even better camera and SENSE UI, Remember 8GB cannot be expanded, so one is stuck. Apple being one of the richest companies in the world still wants to make more money by clearing its back stock of outdated hardware & it thinks Indians are fools. Anything more than 12,000/- for this phone is overkill. Common Apple are you even listening to the pulse of the market.

but flash is the basic need to play videos as it widely supported as compared to html5.Leave flash,it doesn’t even provide basic features like bluetooth file sharing. What is the use of paying a bomb of 19k and getting a useless outdated phone?

If this news is true, which looks like… there are few facts which needs attention.

1.> iphone 5 on the way and they are dumping iphone 3Gs which is two step behind.
2.> Price is still not appropriate, it should not be more than 10k for this one in India
3.> Support and repair of apple device is still very expensive in India.

Who would go and purchase this phone:

1.> iphone junkies and big time apple fans
2.> people who are just looking for user experience and not bothered about other features
3.> some wankies who think that having iphone in hand turns them cool

Who would rather not choose this option:

1.> people who are more concerned about other features than just user experience
2.> people who are open minded and dont want somebody to control their devices. Who wants to experience different apps and appreciate Open world.
3.> Looking for value of their each and every paisa

To conclude, I would like to say that introducing unlocked iphone to India is a good move by Apple, provided it should be either iphone 4 or (would be) iphone 5. Apple has analysed the huge market share in India but they also must realize the stiff competition.

There is no flash support yet on iphone for a foolish reasont that it causes crash of mac and ios.while they can bring innovations like icloud, why cant they fix the flash loophole in ios and mac?

What is `APPLE` trying to do? Alluring mass with outdated phones and innovating the likes of `iphone`4 and `ipad`2 for the class? Customers are now too matured to be fooled by such patriarchal business policies.

12 k will be good option but still i will prefer some nokia as it has good after rates support while apple u know has limited presence and only in major cities. After warranty period while nokia charges for repairing the effect apple has rs500 only to determine the problem and then separate repairing charges which are sky high.
