Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics manufacturer, has crossed another milestone. The company has claimed that it sold over 10 million units of smartphones in the month of October. Interestingly, this is not the first time Xiaomi got to celebrate the milestone. The company had shipped 10 million units in the month of September as well.
Vice President and Managing Director at Xiaomi India, Mr. Manu Kumar Jain, has taken to Twitter to announce this news today by tweeting “Xiaomi shipped 10M+ units globally in the month of October”. He also mentioned in his tweet that this is the second consecutive month to have crossed the 10 million sales mark.
According to multiple reports, one of the primary reasons behind this record is the smartphone sales in the Indian market which is said to account for 30 percent of the total devices that were shipped to the country. Meanwhile, the festive sales by Amazon India and Flipkart in the last two months seem to have also contributed to this achievement.
Xiaomi India recently said that it sold more than four million smartphones during the festive season.
