Xiaomi Redmi K30 will go official on December 10 in China. While the phone will come with dual-mode 5G support, it's now rumoured that the Redmi K30 will indeed have a 4G variant as well. According to a new report, the Redmi K30's 4G variant will have Snapdragon 730G SoC, IPS LCD display, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, quad-camera setup and a 4500mAh battery will back the device. Furthermore, it's said the 4G variant of the Redmi K30 would also come with a 120Hz refresh rate panel and it will feature 27W fast charging. At the moment, there's no official confirmation from Xiaomi regarding the existence of any 4G variant of Redmi K30, but for markets like India, the company should have a non-5G variant. In India, 5G is expected to launch at the end of 2020, but again, telcos will reportedly back away from the spectrum auction which may happen early next year.

Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G Variant Complete Specs Leaked Online

The Redmi K30 is shaping up to be a decent mid-range smartphone because of the 5G network support. Xiaomi already confirmed that it would be launching the Redmi K30 with dual-mode 5G support on December in China. While the 5G variant of the Redmi K30 will most likely make use of MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset, the 4G variant of the same phone is said to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset. Notably, the Redmi K20 also arrived with Snapdragon 730 chipset, but the 730G SoC offers slightly better clock speeds.

Moving onto the leaked specifications of the Redmi K30 4G variant, it's said to rock a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display on the front with 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the usage of IPS panel, Xiaomi has moved the position of the fingerprint scanner to the right side. Definitely, the display on the Redmi K30 seems to be downgraded from AMOLED to IPS LCD panel.

On the hardware front, the phone will have Snapdragon 730G SoC and the base variant will pack 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As Xiaomi already confirmed, the Redmi K30 will sport a dual punch-hole display housing 20MP and 2MP sensors. The phone is also rumoured to ship with a quad-camera setup comprising of 64MP primary lens, 8MP telephoto shooter, 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone will run Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box.

Lastly, the handset will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and it will come with 4500mAh battery supporting 27W fast charging, similar to the Redmi K20 Pro.

Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G Variant Could Launch in India

The Redmi K30 will surely reach the Indian market and the leaked 4G variant specs reveal the phone will take on the upcoming Realme XT 730G variant. Xiaomi will be looking to dominate the sub-Rs 20,000 segment with the Redmi K30 in India because the phone is said to have IPS LCD screen instead of an AMOLED panel which will allow Xiaomi save some costs. But the inclusion of 120Hz refresh rate is something very interesting on a mid-range smartphone as the feature has been an affair to high-end phones till date.
