The phones are said to be the Redmi Note 7

, Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go, company’s first Android Go phone. We have heard a lot about the Redmi Go in the past few weeks or months, but now a new leak reveals everything about the Android Go phone except for its price.

Full specs and pictures of the Xiaomi Redmi go phone have been leaked by Revu website and also leakster Ishan Agarwal on Thursday night. The renders show that the Redmi Go will look like a very basic phone and with a single camera on both front and back. Given the pictures, the Redmi Go mostly look like the Redmi 5A with no notch, thick bezels and smaller screen.

Xiaomi Redmi Go is the Company’s First Android Go Smartphone

As far as the specs of the phone are concerned, the Redmi Go is expected to come with 5-inch LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. On the hardware front, the Redmi Go is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset which the chipset maker has mostly design for the entry-level phones with low on specs. The Redmi Go will come paired with Adreno 308 GPU, up to 1.4GHz maximum speed and 4x ARM Cortex A53 cores. The Redmi Go will be backed by 3000mAh battery which will come bundled with 5V1A charger.

The Redmi Go is said to come with only one variant with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. On the software front the Redmi Go, like the Samsung J2 Core and Nokia 1, will run Google’s streamlined software of Android Go which brings on board Go apps like Maps Go, YouTube Go, and others. The software will be based on Android 8.1 Oreo and not on Android 9 Pie.

On the camera front, the Redmi Go will sport single camera on both the front and back side. On the back, the Android Go phone from Xiaomi is expected to sport an 8MP camera paired with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and more. While on the front the Redmi Go is said to include a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Xiaomi Redmi Go: Expected Pricing

Moving to the price of the phone, the Redmi Go like all other Android Go phones this is one also expected to be pocket-friendly. The Redmi 6A and the Redmi 5A which were proper Android smartphones and still Xiaomi managed to launch them at Rs 5,999 (base variant). Considering the downgraded cameras and RAM, we expect the Redmi Go to cost Rs 4,999 in the sub-continent. But again, we think that Xiaomi should’ve gone with some latest chipset to offer Dual 4G functionality on the handset.
