Xiaomi Poco F1 Gets System-Wide Dark Mode With MIUI 9.3.25 Beta Update

Ever since the launch last year, Xiaomi is pushing out frequent software updates to Poco F1. The Poco F1 is now receiving MIUI 9.3.25 global beta update. The latest software update brings system-wide dark mode to the Poco F1. Regardless to say, the system-wide dark mode is a feature that the Poco F1 users have been waiting for quite some time now. In addition, the Poco F1 also gets MIUI 9.3.21 global beta update which brings another important feature called Game Turbo mode. The same update also fixes the issue of overlapping items in the notifications shade.

Poco F1 Gets Dark Mode

The Poco F1 system-wide dark mode applies a dark shade to not just the volume controls but also notification shade, settings menu and all other compatible system apps. Unlike most of the other beta updates, the MIUI 9.3.25 Beta build for the Poco F1 is rolling out widely to all testers as a part of the open beta programme and not be a closed channel update.

Alongside with Poco F1, the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro is also getting the system-wide dark mode feature. According to reports, the Redmi Note 5 Pro users have started receiving MIUI 10 9.3.25 closed beta update. The MIUI 10 9.3.25 update brings the dark mode and also changes to the Settings section and MIUI notification. Meanwhile, the MIUI 10 9.3.25 update brings only the system-wide dark mode to the Poco F1. There are no words whether the update brings Settings section and MIUI notification style changes to the Poco F1. The rollout of the update to both Poco F1 and Redmi Note 5 Pro was first spotted by folks at XDA-developers.

Talking about the coming of dark mode the Poco F1 description notes, “use darker colour palette for system backgrounds and compatible apps.” The MIUI beta update for the Poco F1 measures 1.8GB in size. This means that the users should connect their Poco F1 and also Redmi Note 5 Pro to Wi-Fi network before downloading and installing the update. The users to should also ensure to back up all their data before installing the MIUI update. To enable the Dark Mode option on the Poco F1 and Redmi Note 5 Pro the user will need to toggle on the ‘Display’ option in the Settings menu.

Game Turbo Mode Comes to Poco F1

In addition, Poco has also introduced all-new Game Turbo mode to the Poco F1 which brings together a whole new level of experience by creating a dedicated gaming mode. “Game Turbo mode enables smart allocation of CPU and GPU resources resulting in a fluid gaming experience,” notes Poco.
