Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has been in the news for quite some time now. A new image coming from Chinese media has all the key specifications of the Mi Mix 2S. The same leak also revealed the design of the smartphone. Going by this leak, the Mix 2S will be the world's first smartphone with Snapdragon 845 chipset. And the chipset is rumoured to be coupled with a massive 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Also, Xiaomi will be adding dual camera setup at the back of the phone hints this new leak.
As you can see in the image below, the design of the smartphone is the same box-shaped, but there's no fingerprint scanner at the back, unlike the Mi Mix and Mix 2. And the leak says the phone will have an under-display fingerprint scanner, like the recently launched Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone. The Mi Mix 2S will still have the same four-sided Ceramic design as its predecessors. And the display will be the same bezel-less one, continuing the trademark of Mix series. As per the report, the display will be called as Full Screen Display 3.0.
The highlight aspect here is the presence of Snapdragon 845 chipset. And the leak touted the Mi Mix 2S and world's first device with the flagship chipset. While everyone expected that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ would be first ones to come with Snapdragon 845 chipset, this leak suggests Xiaomi will steal the show.
The chipset will be coupled by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. That said, this configuration might be of the high-end variant as previous rumours hinted at a 6GB of RAM model. The Mix 2S will come with global LTE bands support, which isn't surprising as the Mix 2 arrived with 42 LTE bands on board.
And lastly, the leak suggests dual camera setup at the back of the phone. The Mix 2S will have two 12MP sensors at the back- a standard 12MP sensor and a secondary 12MP telephoto lens like other Xiaomi phones such as the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi A1.
Lastly, we have the design of the phone. The Mix 2S, as per this report doesn't feature any notch at the top like the Apple iPhone X, but at the right side, it will have a camera cutout like the Essential Phone. And the display is still said to be a Full HD+ 18:9 panel.
Xiaomi has already confirmed its presence at the MWC 2018 event, but rumours say that the Mix 2S will be unveiled in China before the MWC event itself. And Xiaomi will showcase the phone at the mega tech show. Is Xioami launching the Mix 2S at the February 14 event in India? We don't think so.
