Airtel 5G, launched during IMC 2022 by PM Modi, is live in 8 cities. Let's look at these cities in-depth, their importance and the circles in which Airtel 5G Plus is live. 

Customers will start enjoying Airtel 5G services in a phased manner in these cities of - 4 A Category, 2 B Category circles and 2 Metros.

1. Bengaluru - Karnataka

Bengaluru is the tech hub and capital of Karnataka. Airtel has 308,82,862 wireless subscribers in this circle.

Chennai, the capital of Tamilnadu, is home to automobiles, IT, temples, dosa, beaches, and more. Airtel has 270,82,054 wireless subscribers in this circle.

Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area, and Airtel is catering to 163,58,878 wireless subscribers as of August.


4. Hyderabad - AP & TS

Hyderabad, a major urban centre for the IT industry, is the capital of Telangana. Airtel serves 316,93,515 wireless subscribers in both Andhra Pradesh & Telangana states.


5. Mumbai

As a financial and commercial centre, Mumbai is India's largest city, with a principal port on the Arabian Sea. Airtel serves 93,59,238 wireless subscribers as of Aug'22.


6. Nagpur - Maharashtra

Nagpur lies precisely at the centre of the country, with the Zero Mile Marker indicating the geographical centre of India. Airtel serves 204,38,915 wireless subscribers in MH & Goa.
