In the times of fierce competition, the telecom operators are looking at different avenues to increase their revenue streams. The expanded technological options and the tremendous surge in demand for data-based apps has helped the industry in this regard. An often looked over prospect in this area seem to be Wi-Fi hotspots. Now, while Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have introduced their own Wi-Fi hotspot devices which the subscribers can buy to connect with the internet from anywhere, Vodafone has taken a different approach to this. Vodafone has deployed public Wi-Fi hotspots across the country, where its subscribers will be able to access data free of cost or by buying vouchers, similar to Airtel Wi-Fi. The telecom operator is even giving away a data quota to the subscribers for using in these Wi-Fi hotspots. Here is everything you need to know about Vodafone’s Wi-Fi hotspot.

Vodafone Wi-Fi Hotspot Data Quotas

It is worth noting that almost all of the Vodafone Wi-Fi hotspots are in public places where people are most likely to be visiting in large groups. As part of these offerings, Vodafone is giving away 1GB of free Wi-Fi quota to both its prepaid and postpaid subscribers. If any subscriber needs to access more data, then they can do so by buying a Wi-Fi pack. In case you are a Vodafone customer, and you would like to check your Wi-Fi quota then you can do so by dialling *111# from your number. Also, Vodafone has informed that in case you do not have the Wi-Fi quota credited to your account then you can decide to use your 4G/3G pack quota on the Vodafone Wi-Fi network. This is a convenient way to access the internet as on certain occasions; the Wi-Fi hotspot might get you much better speed than a cellular connection.

How to Connect to Vodafone Wi-Fi Hotspot

In case you are a Vodafone customer, and you would like to access the Wi-Fi at one of the hotspot locations, then you would have to download the MyVodafone App from where you will be able to connect to the respective network. In case you are connecting your laptop or any other device then you can click on the network ‘Vodafone WiFi’ and connect using your registered mobile network. If you are a 2G customer and you want to access the Wi-Fi internet then, unfortunately, you will have to buy a Wi-Fi voucher which you can do so by selecting the ‘VFWiFiVoucher’ network from the list of networks and choosing any one of the available packs.

Locations with Vodafone Wi-Fi Hotspot

Currently, Vodafone has deployed the Wi-Fi hotspots in four cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru over 200 locations. Vodafone in its official website has also issued a list of locations across Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru where you will be able to access the Vodafone Wi-Fi hotspot.
