VODAFONE OFFERS ELECTION ALERTS

vodafone-ndtv-election-alert2To Cover the “Dance of Democracy” and to cash in the polling season, telecom operator Vodafone Essar join hands with NDTV and announced the launch of ‘Election Alert’ service for its customers, which will provide live updates on the upcoming Lok Sabha- General Election.

The service will provide four updates daily on the candidates’ profile, trivia about past elections, key constituency profiles, latest elections news and poll results to keep the customers abreast on political developments, Vodafone said in a statement. On the result days there would be 15 alerts and other additional facilities for the Vodafone customers and the content will be provided by NDTV, it added.

To activate this service: Vodafone customers can dial in *123*527# or SMS <ACT VAElection> to 111.The customers will have to pay a subscription charge of Rs.30 per month and the alerts will be available till May 31, 2009.
