Vodafone India has finally revised its long-validity prepaid tariff plans with better data offering, and the benefits are now on par with other private telecom operators plans. Vodafone has revised three prepaid tariff plans of Rs 509, Rs 458 and Rs 348. The Rs 509 and Rs 458 tariff plans now offer 1.4GB data per day, whereas the Rs 348 tariff plan now provides 2.5GB data per day. These plans are not applicable for all the Vodafone prepaid users in the country, but the company has launched these plans in its major circles.

Vodafone has silently revised these plans in Karnataka, Chennai, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh (E) circles, but the company may launch the same plans in other circles too very soon.

The Rs 509 prepaid tariff plan of Vodafone now gives 1.4GB data per day for 91 days, while the Rs 458 plan provides the same 1.4GB data per day for 84 days. And lastly, the Rs 348 tariff plan gives 2.5GB data per day for 28 days. These are the same plans Bharti Airtel is offering at the moment, and it’s no surprise that Vodafone is offering the same benefits.

To recall, we recently reported that Vodafone’s Rs 199 prepaid plan was revised to offer 1.4GB data per day for 28 days. All these tariff plans offer unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for the validity period.

But the unlimited voice calls come with a FUP limit of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Alongside the FUP limit, Vodafone allows users to make calls to only 300 unique numbers during the validity period. Post that, voice calls will be charged at standard rates.

But sadly, Vodafone doesn’t have any plan of Rs 149 like Airtel, Reliance Jio and Idea Cellular. Vodafone has a Rs 179 prepaid plan in the same circles which gives unlimited voice calls, 1GB of high-speed data and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

These tariff plan revisions from Vodafone are the effect of Reliance Jio’s Republic Day offers. But at Rs 198, Vodafone is offering 2GB data per day, unlike Vodafone’s 1.4GB data per day offering. So, it’ safe to say that Jio is still ahead of Vodafone in the data offering segment. And in the voice calling department too, Jio is offering unlimited calls without FUP, thanks to the usage of VoLTE.
