Vodafone Idea Limited has started providing additional 400MB daily data on prepaid plans of Rs 399 and Rs 499 (only on Idea network), similar to what Bharti Airtel is providing right now. For the unaware, Bharti Airtel has started providing extra 400MB daily data on its prepaid plans of Rs 399 and Rs 448 prepaid plans. However, Vodafone Idea’s offer is limited to only two prepaid plans of Rs 399 and Rs 499. And it’s not just 400MB extra data, this offer from Vodafone adds 400MB daily data to the existing data benefit offered by both the recharges. On the whole, the Rs 399 prepaid plan from Vodafone Idea now offers 1.4GB daily data, while the Rs 499 prepaid plan comes with 2.4GB daily data benefit. The Rs 499 prepaid plan is not valid on the Vodafone network, so the offer is limited to just Rs 399 on Vodafone network as of now.

Vodafone Idea Rs 399 Plan Now Comes With 1.4GB Daily Data

As noted, Vodafone is offering extra 400MB daily data on its popular prepaid recharge of Rs 399, while in the case of Idea, it’s applicable on both Rs 399 and Rs 499 prepaid plans. Talking about the benefits, the Rs 399 plan without this offer comes 1GB daily data, and with the offer, the data benefit becomes 1.4GB data per day. Idea’s Rs 499 prepaid plan ships with 2GB daily data, but with this offer, it now comes with 2.4GB daily data.

Having said that, Vodafone Idea customers can avail the extra data benefit by recharging through mobile app only. Vodafone customers will have to recharge through My Vodafone app to avail the extra data benefit, while Idea users can get the additional data benefit through My Idea-Recharge and Payments application.

Bharti Airtel Also Providing Extra 400MB Daily Data

For the unaware, it was Bharti Airtel who started this extra data offer. The former leading telecom operator is currently providing 400MB additional data on prepaid recharges of Rs 399 and Rs 448 via Airtel Thanks mobile application. Airtel’s Rs 399 plan with the extra data offer ships with 1.4GB daily data, while the Rs 448 prepaid plan comes with 1.9GB daily data. Earlier, Airtel offered extra data on Rs 499 plan as well, but it’s now providing only on Rs 399 and Rs 448 prepaid plans.

At the moment, it’s unknown on how long with the telcos run this offer, but Bharti Airtel has been providing it since its revamp of Airtel Thanks application. Vodafone Idea started this offer just now and it’s unknown when the offer will end.

Telecom operators in the country are pushing users to download their mobile apps to avail such benefits. Without Airtel Thanks app, Airtel users cannot even redeem benefits like Amazon Prime membership, Netflix subscription, among others. Vodafone and Idea have their own apps offering a similar experience to the customers.
