Vodafone Postpaid Plans or Airtel Postpaid, Check the Best Telco for Multiple Connections

If you are considering postpaid plans as an option for your SIM card, then there are only two options that you are likely to choose from – Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. While Bharti Airtel postpaid plans are amongst the most popular in the market owing to the additional benefits that they offer, Vodafone’s revision of its postpaid plans has also made them convincing enough. Following on the footsteps of Airtel, Vodafone Idea has also introduced multiple connections on its postpaid plans and it is already offering other additional benefits. For your ease of choosing, we have compiled a comparison between both of these operators and their postpaid plans. So, read ahead to find out which one will be the best for your needs.

Vodafone Postpaid Plans With Add-on Connections

In Vodafone’s postpaid portfolio, the multiple connection options start at Rs 598, and this plan offers two multiple connections. It is worth noting that Vodafone’s multiple connections operate differently than Airtel’s as Vodafone subscribers get separate data offerings. For example, in the Rs 598 plan, the primary number will get 50GB data, whereas the secondary plan will get 30GB data. All the secondary connections in Vodafone offer 30GB data per month to the subscribers. Further, the Rs 598 plan also provides additional benefits like Vodafone Play, Amazon Prime, Mobile Shield, ZEE5, mobile insurance and more.

The next plans with multiple connections include the Rs 749 and Rs 999 postpaid plans, which offer three connections and five connections respectively. While the Rs 749 postpaid plan offers total data of 120GB, the Rs 999 plan offers 200GB of data. As you would expect, the plans come with 2 secondary and 4 secondary connections each getting 30GB data per month, in addition to unlimited calling and other additional benefits like Amazon Prime membership, mobile insurance, ZEE5, Vodafone Play and more.

It is also worth noting that Idea also offers some very attractive Nirvana postpaid plans which begin at Rs 399 per month and offer 40GB data monthly with 100 SMS and unlimited calling. There are more plans by Idea offering 75GB data for Rs 499, 90GB data for Rs 649, 100GB data for Rs 999, 125GB data for Rs 1,299 and 200GB data for Rs 1,999. The only catch is that these plans do not come with multiple connections, hence they remain out of bounds for this comparison.

Airtel Postpaid Plans With Add-on Connections

Although Bharti Airtel’s postpaid plan options begin with the Rs 499, that is not the one you can opt for your family. The add-on connections start on Airtel postpaid plans with the Rs 749 plan. This plan by Airtel is suitable for a small family of two, as it offers one regular connection along with one data add-on connection. The data available with this plan is 125GB with data rollover. There are also unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, three months of Netflix, ZEE5, Airtel TV Premium, handset protection, and one year of Amazon Prime.

Next plan offering add-on connection with Airtel is the Rs 999 plan which offers three regular connections and one data add-on connection, making it fit for bigger families. The total data is 150GB per month with data rollover. This plan also offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day and other additional benefits, which are the same as mentioned above.

Verdict

While Airtel was the first one to introduce the plans with multiple connections in the market, it seems that Vodafone has beaten Airtel in its own game. Due to the reduction of the number of plans in Airtel portfolio and Vodafone offering more choices to its customers, the Vodafone postpaid plans seem like an ideal choice for families. Also, the structure of Vodafone plans with primary and secondary users and separately allocated data make these plans more attractive.
