Vodafone claims to have the largest 3G network in UP East circle

Vodafone-IndiaRecently we reported how Vodafone has been investing in strengthening its network in some circles, just last month it declared that it had increased the network footprint in new areas of Arunachal Pradesh and strengthened its network in Mumbai. Now Vodafone claims that it has the largest 3G network in UP East circle and delivers superior experience to its subscribers in the circle.

Vodafone India, has invested over INR 480 crores on ramping up network and distribution in UP East over the past 12 months (April 2014-Mar 2015). Vodafone has been focusing on closer engagement and enhancing customer experience in an endeavour to be future ready. Vodafone has expanded its network footprint by adding over 800 new 3G sites across UP East in the past 12 months. This expansion has brought more than 4.5 crore residents across multiple regions of UP East within the Vodafone 3G network.

Vodafone now has 12200+3G and 2G sites in UP East covering over close to 97% of the Circle’s population. To spread awareness and increase adoption of mobile internet, Vodafone has been hand holding customers through on ground engagement and education initiatives. Consequently, 3G now contributes to 55%+ of data revenues and 60%+ of data volumes. Data is growing at 90% YoY and total Data Users are now at 50% of enabled handset base. Data revenues contribute to 35% of incremental service revenue. Vodafone has introduced a choice of pocket friendly 3G plans starting from as low as Rs 15. Vodafone’s 3G data portfolio also includes a variety of weekly packs, night packs and monthly packs with limited and unlimited 3G data benefits, ranging from Rs 27 to Rs 1499.

Vodafone has continued to expand its reach to cover   97% population of UP East. Presently, Vodafone has more than 2.25 Lac+ retail outlets in the circle, and close to 800 Vodafone stores. Over the past 12 months, Vodafone has launched 11 Global Design Stores in the Circle, as part of an initiative to offer an unmatched retail experience to its new age customers. Whether it is London in UK or Lucknow, Vodafone Global Design Stores offer a uniform customer experience.
