Vivo Y93 With Dual 4G and Snapdragon 439 SoC Launched

Vivo is on a roll. The Chinese smartphone maker has launched a range of smartphones in the last two months, the company has now announced a new phone called the Vivo Y93. The phone looks a lot like the V11 Pro from both front and the back side. The new Vivo Y93 sports the same waterdrop notch and dual camera design as is in the V11 Pro. The smartphone has been launched in Vivo's home market -- China. As of now, there's no report if the phone will hit the Indian stores or not. Most probably, the phone will reach India next month as the first Snapdragon 439 SoC device.

Vivo Y93: Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y93 is a looker. It comes with the latest trend of waterdrop notch which packs a selfie camera inside it. As far as the specs are concerned, the Vivo Y93 packs a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720x1580 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. On the hardware front, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor clocked at 1.95 GHz. The phone comes in only one variant. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable by up to 256GB storage via microSD card.

The Vivo phone sports a dual camera system with a primary sensor of 13MP and secondary sensor of 2MP. On the front, the phone includes only one camera. It packs an 8MP selfie camera. The main camera of the Vivo Y93 comes paired with features like phase-detection autofocus and also supports AI-powered portrait mode. The selfie camera of the phone also equips features like Face Wake, AI beautification, and AR stickers.

The Y93 sports slim bezels on the sides. The chin of the phone. however, is slightly thicker compared to the other three sides. As noted, the waterdrop notch of the phone includes a selfie camera, while just as the Vivo V11 Pro, the earpiece and the sensors of the phone are not visible from the outside. On the software front, the Vivo Y93 runs FuntouchOS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes pre-loaded with the company's Jovi AI assistant.

The Vivo Y93 is available in two colours Starry Night and Red. One of the good bits about the Vivo phone, apart from the design, is the battery. The Vivo Y93 is backed by a 4030mAh battery. Strangely enough, the phone does have a rear mounted fingerprint or the in-display fingerprint sensor. There's face unlock feature though. The Vivo phone includes comes with several connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and OTG support.

Vivo Y93: Pricing and Availability

The Vivo Y93 adds up to the mid-range segment of Vivo and comes with a price tag of CNY 1,500, which when roughly translated comes around Rs 15,900. For the price, the Vivo Y93 seems like a very decent phone and the specs it packs also meets the mark. The phone will be available in the country starting next week.
