Vivo V9 Price in India Dropped to Rs 20,990

Vivo has reduced the price of Vivo V9 mid-range smartphone in India by Rs 2,000. The smartphone, which was launched for Rs 22,990 will retail for Rs 20,990 going forward. This news of price drop was posted by the Mumbai-based retailer, Mahesh Telecom. It seems like the new price is already effective across the offline channels. E-commerce portal, Flipkart is also selling the Vivo V9 for Rs 20,990 itself but says it's a limited period discount offer. On the flip side, Amazon India has also reflected the new price of the smartphone, while Vivo's India e-store is selling the device at the new price itself.

Back in March 2018, Vivo launched the V9 smartphone India for Rs 22,990. For the asking price, the device offered decent specifications such as the Snapdragon 626 SoC, 19:9 display with a notch and dual rear cameras.

Vivo V9 Specifications and Features

The Vivo V9 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect and a notch on top. Notably, the V9 was one of the first smartphones in India to bring the notched display to the mid-range market. Under the hood, the smartphone ships with the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC and comes in a single variant with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage. Vivo has also added a dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with FunTouch OS 4.0, layered on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone offers features such as AR Stickers. The phone measures 7.89mm and weighs 150 grams. The Vivo V9 is available in Pearl Black, Champagne Gold, Pearl Black (Gold Line), Sapphire Blue colour options. Cameras on the Vivo V9 includes a 24MP front-facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture and on the rear side, the smartphone boasts 16MP+5MP cameras with f/2.0 aperture. The camera app offers features such as Live Bokeh, Gender Detection, AR Stickers, AI Face Beauty and others.

The device is backed by a 3260mAh battery and provides the user with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0 with USB OTG support. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass and Gyroscope sensor.
