As we reported a few days ago, Chinese smartphone giant, Vivo has launched the stripped down version of the Vivo V7+, the Vivo V7 in India today. Being a little brother of the V7+, the Vivo V7 offers the same hardware as the former, but the display size and battery capacity are decreased.

The Vivo V7 is priced at Rs. 18,990 and is exclusive to e-commerce portal Flipkart. The smartphone is currently available for pre-order, and the official open sale will start on November 24. With the Vivo V7, the company is offering a one-time screen replacement within 12 months from the date of purchase. On top of that, Flipkart is offering a Bookmyshow voucher worth Rs. 500 with every purchase of the V7. Furthermore, customers can get up to Rs. 18,000 on exchanging a smartphone.

The Vivo V7 comes in two colour options- Matte Black and Champagne Gold. It features the same design as the Vivo V7+, but the screen size is decreased to 5.7-inch from the 6-inch one seen on the V7+. Sadly, it's an HD+ panel with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixel, but it's an 18:9 display.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC and is coupled with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage. The Vivo V7 also offers a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The highlight of the Vivo V7 is also the same 24MP selfie camera on the front. The selfie camera is accompanied by an LED flash as well, which Vivo calls as Moonlight Selfie. At the back of the phone, we get a 16MP rear camera. The front camera also offers a Portrait mode and Face Unlock mode to unlock the locked smartphone.

The smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat based FunTouch OS 3.2 on top, and a 3000mAh battery backs the entire package. Vivo did not mention any fast charging support it used in the Vivo V7.

Thankfully, the Vivo V7 offers all the necessary sensors such as Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and Gyroscope. The device measures 7.9mm in thickness and weigh just 139 grams.
