After launching the Vivo V9 device in March earlier this year, Vivo is back with yet another smartphone, dubbed as the Vivo V11 Pro. On paper, the V11 Pro is a major upgrade to the Vivo V9 as it packs an in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 660 processor which is a step up from the Snapdragon 626 SoC found on the V9, dual rear cameras and so on. The Vivo V11 Pro is exclusive to Amazon in India, but it will also be available via retail stores and Vivo Shop as well. The price of the smartphone is Rs 25,990 and it goes against the likes of the Xiaomi Poco F1, Nokia 7 Plus and Oppo F9 Pro.

Vivo V11 Pro Features and Specifications

The Vivo V11 Pro is an excellent smartphone, especially considering its price tag, but it faces an uphill battle from Xiaomi Poco F1. The Vivo V11 Pro has a 6.44-inch Full HD+ display on the front, carrying a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio and 402 PPI. The device measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 156 grams. At the heart of the V11 Pro, there's the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The USP of the V11 Pro is the in-display fingerprint scanner, which we have seen on other devices such as the Vivo X21 and the Vivo Nex. Alternatively, the phone also has IR Face Unlock option, as seen on the Poco F1. Optics on the V11 Pro include a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The phone even has Dual Pixel technology. The camera offers features such as AI scene recognition AI Portrait Framing, Dual pixel PDAF, LED flash, Panorama, AI Backlight HDR and Bokeh Mode with shot re-focus. On the front side, there's a 25MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps while the front camera shoots 1080p videos at 30fps.

Connectivity options on the V11 Pro include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a Micro USB 2.0. Yes, Vivo is still using Micro USB port on a smartphone priced over Rs 25,000. Lastly, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch 4.5, and it's backed by a 3400mAh battery with Dual Engine fast charging support.

Vivo V11 Pro Pricing, Availability and Launch Offers

Coming to the pricing, the Vivo V11 Pro comes in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which has been priced at Rs 25,990. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon, Vivo Store and major retail stores across the country. The device can be picked up in two colour options- Starry Night Black and Dazzling Gold.

As for the launch offers, users purchasing the device with HDFC Credit/Debit cards will receive a flat Rs 2,000 cashback. Also, the company has partnered with telecom operator Reliance Jio to offer instant benefits worth Rs 4,050. Pre-orders for the device will begin on September 12.

Vivo V11 Pro Competitors in India

Honestly, the V11 Pro has been priced so aggressively, considering that it has an in-display fingerprint scanner, Infrared Face Unlock and capable dual rear cameras. The primary competitor to the V11 Pro in India is the Xiaomi Poco F1, which boasts of a much superior Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, 4000mAh battery and the same IR Face Unlock functionality.

With the launch of V11 Pro, there will not be any value to the Nokia 7 Plus now. The Nokia 7 Plus edges out with stock Android and a slightly larger 3700mAh battery, but it loses the battle in some sundries such as in-display scanner, Full-Screen edge-to-edge display and better dual rear cameras, at least on paper.
