Vivo and Oppo have made a regular habit of slashing prices of mobile phones at the start of every month. Yesterday, we reported the price drop on Oppo Reno 2Z and Oppo A9 2020 smartphones. And today, Vivo India has officially slashed the prices of Vivo V15 Pro and Vivo S1 smartphones. The new prices of both phones are already effective across offline and online stores. Right before the launch of Vivo V17 Pro in India, Vivo slashed the prices of Vivo V15 Pro and the price cut for December means the phone will be available at an even more affordable price. The base variant of the Vivo V15 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage can be picked up for Rs 19,990, whereas the Vivo S1 now starts at Rs 15,990 in the sub-continent.

Vivo V15 Pro Now Retails at a Starting Price of Rs 19,990

The Vivo V15 Pro was launched earlier this year in India. Back then, it was the first phone under Rs 30,000 to come with a pop-up selfie camera, but now, we have phones with the same technology around Rs 15,000 price point as well. The Vivo V15 Pro was recently succeeded by Vivo V17 Pro which is the world’s first phone with dual pop-up cameras on the front. Right before the launch of V17 Pro in India, Vivo slashed the prices of V15 Pro to Rs 23,990 from the launch price of Rs 27,990. The new prices were reported by Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom.

After the December price cut, the Vivo V15 Pro will be available for Rs 19,990 (6GB+128GB), but the 8GB+128GB model is still retailing for Rs 26,990. Vivo may drop the price of the premium model as well very soon. The V17 Pro is available at Rs 27,990 in India and it’s a way better phone when compared to the V15 Pro.

As for the specs, the Vivo V15 Pro rocks a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, triple rear camera setup with 48MP Samsung GM1 primary lens, in-display fingerprint scanner and a 3700mAh battery. The phone has a 32MP pop-up selfie camera on the front which means it offers a full-screen experience to the users.

Vivo S1 Prices in India Cut as Well

In other news, Vivo S1 has received its first-ever price cut in the country. The Vivo S1 made its debut a few months ago and it’s an offline-centred smartphone from the Chinese company. The Vivo S1 now starts at Rs 15,990 in the country. The base variant of the Vivo S1 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage now available at Rs 15,990, followed by the 6GB+128GB variant at Rs 17,990. The Vivo S1 is also available in a 6GB+64GB model which is also available at Rs 17,990, oddly.

Since the Vivo S1 is an offline centric smartphone, the specifications of the smartphone aren’t that impressive. The Vivo S1 has a 6.38-inch Full HD+ display, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, MediaTek Helio P65 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage, 16MP triple camera setup, 32MP selfie camera, Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 5.2 and a 4500mAh battery.

The new prices of Vivo S1 and Vivo V15 Pro are already effective across offline stores, Vivo India Online Store and Flipkart.
