British telecommunications provider Virgin Media O2 has launched its high-speed Gigabit broadband service in Yeovil, offering speeds of up to 2 Gbps — 38 times faster than the local average. The company said this expansion is part of a significant network upgrade completed by nexfibre, which aims to bring full-fibre connections to 5 million UK homes by 2026. Virgin Media O2 is using nexfibre's network to deliver its broadband and TV Stream services to homes and businesses in the area.
