Videocon Telecom, the versatile, friendly and dynamic telecom brand of the $10 billion worth Videocon Group extends all ISD calls to earthquake-hit Nepal at local call rates for the next 2 days. As an intense earthquake left behind a trail of death and devastation in Nepal, telco has taken this move to help affected people and support the relief work from India.

Mr. Arvind Bali, Director & CEO, Videocon Telecommunications Ltd. says, “We are saddened by the appalling impact caused by the earthquake in Nepal. We share our grief with customers and support them to stand against this calamity. The step is aimed at enabling customers to connect with their near and dear ones in Nepal, which is facing life crisis. Depending upon the situation, we will be extending the services to support disaster relief efforts from India.”

Videocon Telecom shall charge all ISD made from its network to Nepal at local calling rate of 90p/min against the ISD rate of Rs 9.2 per min. The special tariffs shall be applicable for the next 48 hours starting from today till end of day of April 28th 2015 as a gesture to enable callers from India to reach out to their friends and family in the earthquake affected areas in Nepal.
