Purported Specifications of the Upcoming Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) Leaked Online

A new Galaxy J5 Prime model number Samsung SM-G571 recently got FCC approval. Now more details of the alleged Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) have been revealed. As per the leaked spec sheet, Samsung’s 2017 edition of Galaxy J5 Prime will feature a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by Exynos 7570 chipset with 1.4 GHz quad-core processor and ARM Mali-T720 graphics. The processor will be accompanied by 3GB RAM.

As per the leaked document, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2017) will come with 16GB onboard storage. It will also have a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128 GB. Coming to optics, the upcoming smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera along with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with Samsung’s own skin on top. The device will also a house a 2,500mAh non-removable battery. The listing also revealed the device would support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS as connectivity options. It comes with a front mounted fingerprint sensor for added security features.

Samsung has not yet announced the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime (2017). While rumours have touted the device as J5 Prime 2017, it is entirely possible the device may be launched in January next year as Galaxy J5 Prime 2018 edition.

Recently, Samsung’s line of Galaxy A series was leaked and is likely to be renamed with a new moniker. The Galaxy A7 will come as Galaxy A8+ 2018 according to a new leak. It will feature 5.-7-inch Super AMOLED bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a rear fingerprint sensor. Other specs include octa-core 2.1 GHz Exynos 7885 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and possibly dual camera setup.
