Tecno Spark 4 is the latest smartphone from Tecno Mobiles-owned by Transsion Holdings. The Spark 4 comes in two variants with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and it starts at Rs 7,999 in the Indian market. The Tecno Spark 4 takes on the newly launched smartphones like Redmi 8A, Moto E6s, Infinix Hot 8 and others in the similar price range. The new launch from Tecno Mobiles ship with Helio A22 SoC, HD+ display with a teardrop notch on top and triple rear cameras. The phone also sports a 4000mAh battery, but the Redmi 8A, which is launched in India today, retails at a very less price and it even offers better specs than the Tecno Spark 4. However, Tecno Mobiles says the Spark 4 is aimed at the offline market and it will compete with the Galaxy A series of phones available under Rs 10,000.

Tecno Spark 4: Specifications and Features

The Tecno Spark 4 rocks a 6.52-inch HD+ display on the front with 20:9 aspect ratio and it's also said to offer 90% screen-to-body ratio. Tecno also says the display can get up to 450 nits bright. Underneath, the Spark 4 has the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, which we saw in the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 7A and Tecno Spark Go smartphone priced under Rs 6,000. The phone comes in two variants- 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB, and both the variants feature microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The USP of the Tenco Spark 4 is the triple rear camera setup of 13MP primary sensor, 2MP depth sensor and a low-light camera sensor. The phone offers AI Portrait and AI Beauty modes as well. Also, there's an 8MP front-facing camera as well for taking selfies and attending video calls.

Connectivity options include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro USB port. As for the battery, we get a 4000mAh unit and it lacks fast charging support. Tecno says the phone is capable of delivering 110 hours of audio playback and 26 hours of talk time.

Tecno Spark 4: Pricing and Availability in India

The Tecno Spark 4 has been launched in two variants in the Indian market. The base variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage will be available at Rs 7,999, whereas the 4GB+64GB variant can be purchased for Rs 8,999. The phone comes in two colour options- Bay Blue and Majestic Purple. Being an offline-only smartphone, Tecno Mobiles was not able to keep the pricing of the device aggressive and it will lose the battle against the likes of Redmi 8A, Moto E6s and Realme C2 smartphones.
