The Tecno Camon I will be available in three colour options- Champagne Gold, Midnight Black and City Blue, and sports metal body. The fingerprint scanner is present at the back of the phone within reach of the index finger.

The highlight of the Camon I smartphone is the 5.6-inch HD+ display, which has a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. Tecno Mobile also highlighted that the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology and it even has a 2.5D curved glass on top. However, the biggest for the device is the MediaTek MT6737 SoC, which is a quad-core chipset with all the four cores clocked at 1.3GHz.

The chipset is clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Thankfully, the company has added a dedicated microSD card slot on the phone. It accepts microSD cards up to 64GB. The device boots Android 7.0 Nougat based HiOS out of the box, but the Android Oreo update is unknown at the moment.

The Camon I smartphone rocks a single 13MP camera on both front and back. The rear camera is paired with Quad LED flash to add more light to low-light images. In the past too, Tecno Mobile launched smartphones with Quad LED flash. The 13MP front camera comes with a single-tone LED flash.

The phone offers all the basic and necessary connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. This entire package is backed by a 3050mAh battery, which may last for a complete day with moderate usage. Tecno Mobile already launched this smartphone in other countries such as Africa and Nigeria.
