SC combines cases on SMS termination charges, next hearing in September

The Supreme Court issued a notice to Vodafone India on a plea filed by Aircel India against the SMS termination charges the former levied on it. TRAI Imposes 5 Paisa Termination Charge On Commercial SMS

In a bid to curb pesky calls, SMS from telemarketers, Indian Telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today imposes a termination charge of 5 paisa per SMS on operators from whose networks commercial messages originate.
