TRAI to Telcos : Don’t Cancel MNP Port Out Requests

After the lot of complaints of false practice by some leading operators regarding Mobile Number Portability (MNP), Indian telecom watchdog Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today issued new directive to stop the cancellation or withdrawal of MNP Port Out request by 'Donor' operator. TRAI Directs Vodafone Not To Reject MNP Requests on Contractual Grounds

Indian telecom watchdog Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has directed Vodafone Essar to not reject 'Mobile Number Porting' requests of its subscribers on grounds of contractual obligations if the customers had not entered into a contract with the operator.
