BSNL says is interested in buying 700 Mhz spectrum in 6 circles

State-run telecom operator BSNL is planning to buy 5 MHz spectrum in premium 700 MHz band in six service areas---- Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kolkata and Tamil Nadu, as it looks to strengthen coverage in the country. MTNL and BSNL say no to upcoming spectrum auction

State-run telecom operators MTNL and BSNL have declared that they will not be participating in the upcoming spectrum auctions. MTNL and BSNL have said they have sufficient spectrum to carry on their services without disruption at the moment and see no immediate requirement for the same.
