Sun Direct is a prominent DTH service provider in the South Indian region. The operator was also the first one to do away with the NCF charges to make its subscription plans attractive for the consumers. Previously, in our update, we had informed about the launch of new DPO packs on Sun Direct website which had increased the offering for Sun Direct subscribers, but it is known in the market that the provider was a bit late when it came to bundling HD channel packs. Later, Sun Direct had introduced new

HD packs, but it was only a handful. However, now Sun Direct has added many more channel packs to its website, and these aren’t only HD packs but are also available in SD quality as well. Further on, these packs are available in various regional languages.

Channel Packs in Odia, Marathi and Bengali

In the latest iteration of its channel packs update, Sun Direct has added DPO packs in three new languages which were not previously divided

in these many packs. In the channel packs listing, we were able to see the Bengali DPO Pack 1 for Rs 167.79 which bundled 172 channels. Similarly, there were more packs like Bengali DPO 2 pack for Rs 211.86, Odia DPO 1 pack for Rs 166.94, Odia DPO 2 pack Rs 211.01. Previously, there were also no packs in HD for Malayalam or Kannada, but this time around, in the listed plans we saw the HD Kannada DPO Pack 1 and HD Kannada DPO Pack 2 for Rs 263 and Rs 363 respectively. Similarly, Sun Direct has also listed the HD Malayalam DPO Pack 1 and HD Malayalam DPO Pack 2 for Rs 258.47 and Rs 338.13.

ROI Packs by Sun Direct

Also, in its new update, Sun Direct has introduced something called as ROI DPO packs which are value for money channel pack options bundling all prominent channels in different formats from many genres. The ROI DPO Pack 1 from Sun Direct is available for Rs 194.06, ROI DPO Pack 2 is available for Rs 244.91, HD ROI DPO Pack 1 is available for Rs 322.03 and HD ROI DPO Pack 2 is available for Rs 422.03. A new language in which DPO packs are also available for Sun Direct subscribers is Marathi. Sun Direct is now offering Marathi DPO Pack 1 and Pack 2 for Rs 177 and Rs 236 respectively.

There is also a third alternative available for the viewers of Malayali or Kannada HD channels as Sun Direct is offering HD Kannada DPO Pack 3 for Rs 490.68 and HD Malayalam DPO Pack 3 for Rs 482.2. The first pack will provide 266 channels, while the second one will bundle 269 channels.
