Sony Smartphones like Xperia XZ, Xperia XZ1 and Others Receive Price Cuts of Up to Rs 10,000

With the festival season already on, many phone manufacturers are starting to roll out attractive offers, discounts and price cuts to their devices. Sony seems to be on the lookout of doing the same, as the smartphone manufacturer has decided to slash the prices of almost half a dozen phones in India. What’s interesting to note is that the price cuts which these phones have received are permanent, meaning that no matter when users decide to buy these Sony phones, they will be available at the same price. The list of Sony phones that have received this price but includes the Sony Xperia R1, Xperia R1 Plus, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Plus, Xperia XZ1, and Xperia XZ Premium. Sony Phones Receiving Price Cuts

The Sony Xperia R1 which was previously retailing at the price of Rs 9,490 now bears the price tag of Rs 7,990 post the price cut. The launch price of the phone was Rs 12,990. The Xperia R1 Plus which was available in the market for Rs 12,990 has been slashed down to Rs 10,990. The Xperia XA1, which was previously retailing for Rs 17,990 has received a price cut of Rs 5,000, and it will now be up for grabs at Rs 12,990. The Xperia XA1 Plus is another phone which has received a price cut, and it will soon be available for Rs 14,990, as opposed to its previous price of Rs 19,990.

Sony’s premium phones which used to retail at a hefty price range have been included in this list of price slashes, as the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ Premium have received a significant slash of Rs 10,000. Among these two phones, the Xperia XZ1 bears a new price tag of Rs 34,990 which was previously available for Rs 44,990. On the other hand, the Xperia XZ Premium is down to Rs 39,990, with the previous original market price being 49,990.

Sony Xperia Price Cut Models Specs and Features

The Sony Xperia R1 was launched a year back, and it sports a 5.2-inch HD display rendering a resolution of 720x1280 pixels on a TFT screen. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2,620mAh unit in terms of battery. The Xperia R1 Plus was launched alongside this phone, and it comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with the rest of the specifications being the same.

The Xperia XA1 is a much older phone which was launched in April last year. The smartphone flaunts a 23MP rear shooter with a screen which measures 5-inch and renders HD resolution. The device packs 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. The Xperia XA1 Plus which is a successor to this phone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 4GB of RAM, and packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC with 32GB of storage.

The Xperia XZ1 debuted in September 2017, and it packs an impressive Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also comes with Quick Charge 3.0 technology and a fingerprint sensor which also doubled down as the power button. Lastly, the Xperia XZ Premium was another phone which debuted with the same octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with a 5.5-inch 4K display. A 3,230mAh battery powers the phone and it packs 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.
