In the last year only, the tech world has seen many launches of smartphones with face unlock capability. Perhaps the feature which was made popular by the Apple iPhone X is being replicated or at least being attempted to be replicated on other phones. Although Apple’s FaceID technology uses an advanced 3D mapping technology to ensure the safety of the user, the other Android face unlocks such as the one on OnePlus 6 use 2D image-based techniques to unlock the phone. However, now it’s been some time that the feature which been exclusive to the high-end phones, has come to the budget devices.
