SAMSUNG INDIA UNVEIL OMNIA HD AND OMNIA PRO MOBILE PHONEThe World's second-largest mobile phone maker  Samsung  has launched two multimedia enriched 3G enable mobile phone with speedy data communication and power packed features for Indian Market.

At an event in Mumbai, Samsung India's Country Head-Mobile Business Sunil Dutt announced the launch of new Omnia phone dubbed as OMNIA-HD and OMNIA-PRO on the launching event Mr. Dutt commented that “Samsung OMNIA-HD exemplifies our Vision of providing premium phones for consumers who desire functionality, style, usability and entertainment in one innovative device.




Samsung OMNIA series keeps the consumers at the forefront of work and play, staying connected, anytime, anywhere.

According Samsung India, that the OMNIA HD mobile phone to be the world’s first full-touch handset featured with 720 PHD video recording on mobile along with 9.4 cm AMOLED screen on mobile, which is to to be the world’s largest. The Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) touch screen offers unrivalled sharpness of tone, vivid colours and greater clarity in direct sunlight as well as consumes less power.

The Omnia HD has 8 mega pixel camera with Face detection, Smile Shot, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and users can enjoy and share images and videos through a super-fast internet access of  HSUPA 5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps. The Omnia HD comes with Symbian OS and it works 2G and 3G simyltaneous on  GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 3G UMTS 900/1900/2100 MHz, GPRS/EDGE class12 .With Samsung Omnia HD users also can enjoy PC-like web-surfing on the phone’s 9.4 cm Auto-Rotating Display.

The HD video recording feature enables users to capture precious moments in HD (720p) quality, enjoy HD content on HD TV via DLNA technology. The 16: 9 screen of QHD display with 16M colors and dual stereo speaker reveal a whole new world of mobile multimedia experiences on the move, enabling users to enjoy SD (Standard Definition) /HD (High Definition) videos in cinema-scale quality. It features Motion-enabled features including 3D games.

It also loaded with GPS integrated compass along with navigation touch control and voice guidance via dual stereo speaker provide drivers with easy and safe navigation. The phone is loaded with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, optional Samsung Mobile Navigator by Route66, HDMI (dongle needed). The 16GB internal memory is expandable to another 32GB, allowing users to store up to 48GB of data.
The Samsung OmniaHD will come at price point of Rs 33,990.

Samsung India also launched another phone in Omnia serices – OmniaPRO B7320 for Indian market. Personal Assistant Perfected- Omnia PRO is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1, the sports compact design and ergonomic QWERTY keypad, FM Radio and Wi-Fi etc. The handset also comes loaded with 1 GHz Processor.

The Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system means users can download additional programs as they would on their PC and customize it for their individual needs. The Handset also boasts social networking applications like Face book as well as instant messaging support for MSN Windows Live, Goggle Talk and Yahoo Chat are downloadable on this phone.
