Samsung is actively slashing prices of its smartphones in recent times and the latest one to join the list is the Galaxy J4. Samsung India has reduced the price of its entry-level Galaxy J4 in the country by Rs 500 to Rs 9,490. Notably, Samsung reduced the price of only the 2GB RAM+16GB storage model, not the variant with 3GB RAM+32GB of storage. The base variant will be available at a price of Rs 9,490 across all the offline stores and e-commerce portals such as Flipkart, Amazon and Samsung Shop. The high-end variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage can be picked up at the launch price of Rs 11,990 because it did not any price cut.
This price cut of Samsung Galaxy J4 comes after the price cut of Galaxy A6 & Galaxy J6 smartphones. To recall, the Galaxy J4 was launched in India back in May 2018 at a starting price of Rs 9,990. Samsung launched both the variants of the Galaxy J4 at one go, unlike the Galaxy A6 devices. The Galaxy J4 is an overpriced device when compared to the likes of Redmi Note 5, Zenfone Max Pro M1, but the difference here is you can purchase the Galaxy J4 very easily, unlike the other two mentioned above.
Samsung Galaxy J4 Specifications and Features
The Samsung Galaxy J4 rocks a 5.5-inch HD display on the front with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. It's a Super AMOLED panel, which is a rarity on smartphones priced around Rs 10,000. At the heart of the phone, we have the quad-core Exynos 7570 chipset, coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM or 16GB/32GB of internal storage. With the help of the microSD card slot, users can expand the storage up to 128GB.
The smartphone offers connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port is present on the bottom side. The J4 also features the 3.5mm headphone jack.
This dual-SIM smartphone comes laden with Android Oreo and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. It measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 171 grams. The Galaxy J4 has a single rear camera of 13MP and a single selfie shooter of 5MP on the front.
