Reliance Big TV has been in the news for a while now, thanks to the attractive DTH offer it introduced. Now, the company has confirmed that it has partnered with 50,000 post offices across the country, allowing users to book a new DTH connection easily. Interested customers across Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim can head over to the nearest post office to make the book of HD HEVC (high-definition, high-efficiency video coding) STBs from June 20. Customers in these regions can head over to the post offices and book the set-top box. "Now, every Indian household can have our HD HEVC set-top boxes at their disposal and can be booked from listed Indian post offices," said Vijender Singh, Director, Reliance Big TV.

Earlier in March, Reliance Big TV started pre-booking of the STBs across Maharashtra & Goa. And yes, the pre-bookings were taken through the post offices in those two regions.

At the end of March 2018, Reliance Big TV, under its new leadership team announced a new offer with the promise of free DTH services for one year at Rs 2,000. After the completion of one-year, customers will be required to pay an amount of Rs 300 every month to get the services free for every month. Also, the company will be refunding the entire amount of Rs 500 (pre-booking) and Rs 1,500 (which will be collected at the time of installation) after a period of three years.

"With this tie-up, we will have a wider reach since Indian Post Office has an incredible reach. The same would help the users to book this incredible offer by paying Rs 500 at any of the post offices in the stipulated states," added Singh.

Reliance Big TV announced that users could enjoy over 500 channels for one year, post which they can enjoy the services at Rs 300 per month. Also, the cashback amount will be provided in the form of recharges only, which in turn will again deliver services for another two years. The initial booking of the STBs started on March 1, 2018.
